Santa Cruz, Calif. – Aug. 26, 2008 – In an effort to assist life-sciences postgraduates and the clinical communities of its member schools in finding the “perfect match,” Bio Career Center is pleased to announce an academic listing fee reduction.
 
An online job board and careers tool site for life-science professionals, Bio Career Center (www.biocareercenter.com) has dropped its fee to $50 per academic postdoc listing.
 
“Boasting one of the top jobs boards in the country and on target to be the leading career site for life sciences Ph.D.s and M.D.s, we at Bio Career Center want to continue to help graduate students find the right assistant professorship and/or research team,” said company president Nick Folger. “And in turn, we are hoping to help prospective schools find the best candidate for their post doc positions.”
 
Bio Career Center’s current schools include Berkeley; Caltech; Emory; M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Michigan State University, Scripps Institute; Stanford; University of California, San Francisco; University of Colorado, Denver; University of Miami; University of Pennsylvania; Vanderbilt; the University of Washington; Weill Cornell Medical College; and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
 
Since January, Bio Career Center has expanded its service each month, offering new and unique tools to assist those entering and currently in the life science fields. Its successful additions include: Expert Seminar Program – a dual-purpose service that provides employers a chance to meet potential candidates, and vice versa, while giving M.D.’s and Ph.D.’s the opportunity to perfect their networking, interviewing, business etiquette skills; Career Navigator - a proven online tool designed to help those in the life science sector transition within their field with success; and Bio Skills Select – a multiple-choice question and answer tool, which assists employers and candidates in the job match process.
