Timeline of my postdoc search
My search for postdoc positions began about a year ahead of my dissertation defense, scheduled for the end of fall 2018. I was told the process could take a year or longer and I wanted to have something lined up right after I defended. Sadly, I had no position lined up once I reached my defense date, but this turned out to be a good thing as I was burned out after finishing my PhD.
