The Ups and Downs of Freelance Medical Writing

Just about every working professional at one time or another has thought about leaving their job working for someone else and venturing out to work for themselves. In theory, freelance medical writing can offer a more flexible and lucrative avenue to success than writing for an agency or a pharmaceutical company. In practice, however, it takes dedication and perseverance, and perhaps a little bit of good fortune, to reach this level. I would like to share my observations from the perspective of a beginner who has only recently been introduced to the freelance market.
