Policy Agency vs. Grad School

Besides things like being an office instead of a lab, here are some major differences that I experienced: • Calendar. This is by far the biggest difference - – everyone lives and dies by the calendar in a policy agency. And directors or leadership in an agency even have assistants who manage their calendars for them. I was familiar with the idea of assistants because some of the professors in grad school had assistants, but it seemed like the scope and responsibility was a lot different in policy agencies.
